SPeCTRUM Outage Notification
by Azlin Mohd Ali - Thursday, 14 January 2016, 8:58 AM

Dear all,

ADeC and PTM would like to sincerely apologise to the campus community due to the SPeCTRUM outage event during the critical week 13 and 14 of the teaching semester. What happened was we ran out of server storage space and had to migrate all data to a new server during that period. We have successfully done so and now the system should be up and running normally.

We acknowledge that week 13 and 14 is a critical period where students are submitting online assessments and some academic staff are doing online quizzes. However without the migration, will result in further disruption on your e-learning activities. To  minimise the disruption, we ran the migration during the weekend of 19 -20 December. We have exhausted 300gb of storage space and the new server now has 700gb of storage space.

If there is any problem with data or files as a result of this migration, please report to us using the Helpdesk system.

Again we apologise for the inconvenience caused and we will put in place measures to prevent this happening in the future.

Kind regards,

ZAHIRUDDIN FITRI AU HASSAN (Ph.D)
